SEO Marketing Basic Package: What $350 per Month Covers
The Basic package is the entry point for SEO marketing as an ongoing monthly service. It is structured for small websites and local businesses where the primary goal is establishing organic search presence - getting the site to rank for relevant queries and building the content foundation that makes higher positions possible over time.
Here is exactly what happens each month in the Basic package.
Website Optimisation (Monthly Check)
Every month, we review your site's pages for compliance with current Google requirements. This is not a full audit on each visit - that was done at the start of the engagement. The monthly optimisation check focuses on:
New content compliance: Any pages added to the site since the last check are reviewed for correct title tags, meta descriptions, H1 headings, and image alt attributes. New pages published without these elements are corrected.
Technical drift: Hosting changes, plugin updates, and CMS migrations sometimes overwrite previously set SEO fields. We check whether previously optimized pages still carry the correct meta tags - it is more common than expected for an update to reset a page to its default template state.
Search Console error review: We check Google Search Console for any newly flagged indexation issues, mobile usability errors, or Core Web Vitals regressions that appeared since the previous report.
The optimisation component of the Basic package does not include writing new service pages, redesigning site structure, or implementing new schema markup. Those are handled in the initial setup phase or through a separate engagement.
Article Marketing: 3 Articles per Month
Three articles per month is the content production component of the Basic package. Each article is created to target a specific search query your potential customers use.
How we select article topics
Topics are chosen based on keyword research specific to your business and market. We identify queries with sufficient search volume, commercial relevance, and achievable difficulty for your domain's current authority. For a local business with a new domain, this means targeting long-tail queries with volume 100-500 and difficulty accessible below DR 40 competition.
We do not produce articles on topics that have already been covered on your site or that duplicate existing content. Each article adds new topical coverage.
Article structure and length
Each article is structured for both the user and Google: a clear H1 matching the target keyword, H2 subheadings that address secondary search intentions around the topic, body content that answers the query with specific information (not generic descriptions), and a logical close that signals article completion.
Minimum length: 800 words. Typical length: 1,000-1,500 words. For topics requiring more depth to be competitive in the SERP, articles go longer. We do not pad articles to hit a word count - length is determined by what the topic requires to be comprehensive.
Publishing schedule
Three articles per month means approximately one article per week, with one week carrying two publications or a longer period between them. Publication timing is coordinated to maintain a consistent signal to Google that the site is actively updated.
Cumulative effect
After 6 months of the Basic package: 18 articles published, covering 18 distinct keyword clusters. After 12 months: 36 articles. Each article compounds - older articles continue ranking and accumulating traffic while new articles expand keyword coverage. The compounding effect is the reason monthly content production produces results that accelerate rather than plateau over time.
Thematic Links: 2 per Month
Two thematic links per month is the off-page authority building component of the Basic package.
What a thematic link is
A thematic link is an active (dofollow) link placed on a page of another website, pointing to your site. The key qualifier is thematic: the linking page covers a topic related to your business. A link from a furniture industry publication to a furniture store is thematic. A link from an unrelated directory is not.
Thematic relevance matters because Google evaluates not just the authority of the linking domain, but whether the link makes contextual sense. A link from a high-DR domain with no topical relationship to your site carries less weight than a lower-DR domain that is topically aligned.
Where the links are placed
Links in the Basic package are placed on newly created thematic pages on established content platforms or partner sites - not on the main pages of high-DR publications (those belong to higher-tier packages). Each link is accompanied by contextual text so it reads naturally and provides value to the reader on the linking page.
What 2 links per month builds over time
Two links per month means 24 new thematic links in the first year. In markets with moderate competition - local services in a specific city, regional e-commerce - 24 relevant thematic links from a consistent campaign produce measurable domain authority improvement and keyword position growth.
For highly competitive national or international keywords, 2 links per month is insufficient to outrank established competitors with DR 60+. In those cases, we recommend starting with the Basic package to build a baseline and discuss scaling to Standard or Premium as the domain grows.
Monthly Position Report
At the end of each month, you receive a position report showing:
- Each tracked keyword
- Monthly search volume for that keyword in your target region
- Current Google position
- Change from previous month (+/- positions)
The report covers all keywords assigned during the initial optimization stage, plus any new keywords targeting the articles published in the current month. As the article count grows, the tracked keyword set expands accordingly.
Site Support
The Basic package includes site support: a monthly backup of your site and restoration of the backup on request if a technical issue causes data loss.
Support does not include ongoing development work, design changes, new feature implementation, or emergency response for issues caused by third-party plugins or hosting failures. It is a safety net - the backup ensures that a catastrophic event (hack, hosting failure, accidental deletion) does not destroy the work invested in the site.
Who the Basic Package Is For
The right fit for Basic:
- Small local businesses starting organic search for the first time
- Sites with fewer than 30 pages, no existing SEO work
- Budgets where $350/month is the sustainable marketing spend
- Markets and niches where competition is local rather than national
Signs Basic may be insufficient:
- Your main competitors have DR above 40 and have been publishing content for 3+ years
- You are targeting national rather than local keywords
- You need results within 3 months (SEO timelines require 6+ months)
- Your site has significant technical problems that require fixing before content work is productive
In the last case, we recommend beginning with the SEO Optimization one-time package to fix technical and on-page issues, then starting the marketing package once the foundation is stable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Basic package suitable for a brand new site? Yes, with realistic expectations. A new domain has no established authority, so initial rankings will be low (positions 50+) for the first 2-3 months. The content and links build the foundation. Expect meaningful page 2-3 positions for target keywords by month 4-6, and page 1 entries for lower-competition keywords by month 6-9.
Can I switch to Standard or Premium later? Yes. Packages can be upgraded at the start of any new monthly cycle. Content and links produced in the Basic package continue to contribute when you upgrade - the campaign history carries over.
Are the 3 articles published on my site or elsewhere? Articles are published on your site, building your domain's topical authority. Thematic links are placed on other sites, pointing back to yours.
What language are articles written in? Articles are written in the language of the target market for your package version. The English default package targets English-language searches. Regional packages (pl-PL, ru-UA, uk-UA, etc.) produce articles in the respective language.
Do I own the content produced? Yes. All articles published on your site are yours. The keyword research and content strategy developed for your campaign are part of the monthly deliverable.
What happens if I cancel? Monthly packages can be cancelled at the end of any billing cycle. Articles published on your site remain in place and continue to rank. Thematic links placed during the campaign continue to contribute to your domain authority. The accumulated SEO work does not disappear - it continues producing results, though without new content and links, growth decelerates over time.
