Markup is a description of the page for Google and AI

Schema.org markup tells machines directly who you are, where you are, when you are open, what you sell and at what price. Without it, AI guesses the facts from the text and can get them wrong - quote old hours or the wrong phone number. Markup removes that uncertainty.

What we check and do

  • what is already on the page and what is missing;
  • errors in the current markup: broken JSON-LD code, missing required fields;
  • the exact business type (tire shop, clinic, auto repair shop), address, hours, all phone numbers;
  • products and services with real prices and availability;
  • questions and answers (FAQPage), articles and the author (Article, Person);
  • that the markup data matches the page text.

Checking markup in Google

Google's markup testing tool only checks syntax: error-free code can still describe the wrong business or old prices. That is why we compare every field with the page text and your questionnaire. We never add prices or figures to the markup that are not on the page - Google treats that as a violation.

Markup for online stores

For a store, the key is product markup (Product): price, availability, brand, reviews. It gives you rich results in Google - price and stars right in the search results - and helps AI answer "where to buy" and "how much does it cost" questions.

GEO: structured data for AI

AI systems read structured data first: it helps them understand facts about a company faster and more accurately. Organization or LocalBusiness markup with the same details as on the site is one of the points of page readiness for AI answers.

FAQ

Does FAQ markup give rich results in Google?

Since 2023, Google shows FAQ rich results only for government and health sites. But AI reads question-and-answer markup, so it stays useful.

Where does the code go?

Into the page as a script type="application/ld+json" block - through the admin panel or a plugin. The report tells you where to do it in your CMS.

What if a plugin already added markup?

We check it: plugins often set a generic type instead of the exact one and do not know your hours and phone numbers. Whatever can stay, stays.
