Links between pages show what matters
Internal links tell Google which pages on your website are the most important and guide customers to the right section. A page with no incoming links looks secondary to Google. Good internal linking helps it rise even without backlinks.

Internal linking: specific links, not general advice
For every page in the package - "from which page, to which page and with what link text". Internal links only where they make sense.
Get a free estimateWhat we check and do
- links from general pages to specific ones: category -> subcategories, service -> prices;
- links from blog articles to the pages that sell;
- links without text, image links without alt text and links to redirects;
- links to empty pages and pages without products;
- click depth: pages that cannot be reached within 3 clicks of the home page;
- orphan pages that no link points to.
Link anchors: what text to use
The anchor is the text of a link. Google uses it to understand what the linked page is about. An anchor like "here" or "read more" says nothing; an anchor like "R16 tyre prices" does. At the same time, identical exact-match anchors on every page look unnatural: we write what reads well for the visitor and use the query where it fits.
Internal linking and GEO
AI crawlers move through a website via its links, just as Google does. A page that is hard to reach is less likely to become a source for AI answers. Clear links between related pages help both Google and AI see the whole topic.
What you receive in the report
- specific links "from which page - to which page - with which anchor" for the pages in your package;
- a list of links worth removing or correcting.
Internal linking: prices
Internal linking is part of the GEO SEO optimisation package along with the other stages. Package S covers up to 25 pages for $49, with every stage for each page. Before paying, you can have up to 10 pages checked free of charge.
Questions
Do you build backlinks?
No, only internal links between the pages of your website. Backlinks are a separate monthly service, GEO SEO Marketing.
How many links are needed?
As many as are useful to the visitor: usually 2-5 from each page to related pages.
Should I add links to the menu and footer?
The menu and footer are links too, but Google gives more weight to links within the text: they show a connection in meaning.
